My name is Maya Issac. I am a 4th grade teacher.  This is my 16th year teaching at Newton Elementary.  I was born and raised in Newton County.  I attended Lamar University and graduated with my bachelor's degree.  I am married to Kevin Issac and have one son, Marktavious.

I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.
