Kindergarten
In 2015, I graduated high school from Waldron High in Waldron, Arkansas.
In 2018, I graduated from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas with my Bachelors in Psychology.
I am certified to teach Special Education as well as Core Subjects EC-6, through Region 5.
I started teaching at Newton Elementary in December of 2018, 3 days after graduating college. I have been a PreK aid, an Inclusion teacher for fourth and fifth grade reading, and now a Kindergarten teacher.
In college I was an Autism Therapist and Tutor.
I am married to Corey Jenkins, who is a teacher at the middle school and coach at the middle and high school. We got married March 2, 2019. No kids yet, but we do have a German Shepard/Great Dane fur baby named Sarge.
Because my husband is a coach, I spend most of my time at one of Newton’s campuses, whether teaching or at a sporting event. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my husband, pup, and new Texas family. I enjoy reading and movies, Harry Potter is my favorite in both categories.
