I started working at Newton Elementary in the fall of 2019. I have worked here for 4 years. I’m currently teaching Life Skills.
I started my teaching career in 1998. This is my 26th year teaching Special Education. Prior to Newton Elementary, I taught at Pickering Elementary in Louisiana for 7 years. I taught at Oberlin Elementary for the remaining years. Being a teacher is my calling. I use my experiences when I was in school growing up. My goal has always been to not be like some of the mean teachers I had in school. This goal has helped me love teaching my kids.
I was married in May 1998.
I have 3 wonderful children.
My kids went to school in Oberlin, La.
I have two dogs, my boy dog is named Sox, and my girl dog is named Scruffy.
