Like many other teachers, I taught in non-professional settings prior to my certification. Acquiring my teaching certification was the culmination of a long, but steady, journey while raising my family.
I graduated from College of the Mainland, Texas City with an Associates of Science with emphasis on Education. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Education at the University of Houston -Clear Lake. I carry certificates in Early Education through 6th Grade, 4th through 8th Grade Generalist, Gifted and Talented, and Special Education. I have enjoyed being the inclusion teacher for first grade for five ears and carry that experience with me as the second grade inclusion teacher.
I have always enjoyed a variety of hobbies. I have taught myself to knit, play the guitar and paint; learned to crochet from my grandmother and sew from my mother. I enjoy teaching all subjects to my kiddos and doing some fun activities to enhance their learning.
Teaching has proved to be so much more delightful than I ever imagined. I hope to transfer that joy to my students.
