Congratulations NHS Eagles   NHS UIL State Play-Off Football Game

In Keeping with the tradition of Newton ISD, we will have a “Send Off” for our NISD Eagle Football Team!

Friday, November 16th @ 2p.m.

The buses will be circling the square, and we invite you to join us cheering our team to Victory. Our boys  are going to play Paul Prewitt CISD, Brahamas at Carthage, Texas.  

Feel free to make spirit signs and display them!

Military, Senior, and Clergy passes will be honored.

No pre-game ticket sales. Tickets are available at the gate ONLY.

Gate Opens at 6:00 PM

Game Starts at 7:30 PM

Ticket Prices: $6.00 – Adults; $4.00 – Students


Newton ISD has received an updated rating from the Texas Education Agency on the district’s 2017-2018 School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) rating based on the fiscal year 2017 data.

The district submitted an appeal on the preliminary 2017-2018 rating as allowed by the Texas Administrative Code.  The appeal was reviewed by a panel. Based on the results of the review, the Commissioner of Education has approved the district’s appeal.  The final School FIRST rating for Newton Independent School District is an A = Superior Achievement. The rating is final and may be found at https://tealprod.tea.state.tx.us/First/forms/Main.aspx.
