The Newton ISD Police Department supports and serves the district by

promoting selfless service, safety and assisting in the prevention of drugs and violence on our campuses.

students, staff, visitors, and the community at large.

Newton ISD Police Department is a fully operational, community oriented policing agency that was approved for operation on March 31, 2022 by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. It operates primarily within the geographic area of Newton ISD: south of Burkeville, north of Deweyville, between Jasper Co. and the Louisiana state lines and encompasses 392 square miles. It provides law enforcement services to Newton Elementary School, Newton Middle School, Newton High School, as well as the administration building and alternative school campus. In addition it is also responsible for visitor management, emergency management, and  truancy. It is staffed by full time law enforcement offcers who were specifically chosen and specially trained for their roles in our district.
