Newton Eagle Band Concert and Sight Reading Contest

We are so very proud of our Newton Eagle Band.  They attended a Concert and Sight Reading Contest at Silsbee High School on Thursday, March 5, 2020.  They received a I (Superior) rating  in the Sight Reading contest where they are given a piece of music that they have never played before and asked to play it.  This is certainly not an easy feat, but our Eagle Band came through and scored the highest rating in that category.  During the concert  part of the competition, the Eagle Band received a II (Excellent) rating.  We couldn’t be prouder of our Eagle Band and how hard they have worked this year.  Mrs. Herrington has done such an awesome job with our students this year.  Way to go, Eagle Band!
