1st and 2nd grade Inclusion
I graduated from Heritage Christian Academy, in Cleveland TX, in 2004.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, in 2012.
I have a Bachelor's Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Child Development and Family living and a minor in Radio/Television Broadcasting.
I have my teaching certification in Special Education. I have also completed the Reading Academy.
I have been employed with Newton ISD since 2016. I am working at the elementary school as an inclusion teacher.
Since starting at Newton ISD in 2016, I have worked with Inclusion at each campus. I am currently working as a 1st and 2nd-grade inclusion teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Billy Messer, who is a 7th-grade teacher and coach at Newton, for 12 years in October.
We have two boys, Sawyer is 6 years old and in 1st grade, Gavin is 5 years old and in Kindergarten, and our niece Kyleigh is 6 and in the 1st grade.
We have 1 dog named Echo, she is a 3-year-old, husky mix.
I enjoy reading, anything outdoors, spending time with my family, and traveling. We attend church at The River Church in Merryville LA. When I am not teaching, I am taking care of my kiddos and living life to the fullest. I have started getting into working with my Cricut and making different things. I always am trying to come up with new ways to make my life more organized. I am also an independent Scentsy consultant and spend a lot of my free time working to make my business successful. Its a beautiful, chaos, but it is mine and I wouldn't change a thing.
