Middle School Resource and Inclusion
I graduated from Heritage Christian Academy, in Cleveland TX, in 2004.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, in 2012.
I have a Bachelor Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Child Development and Family living and a minor in Radio/Television Broadcasting.
I have my teaching certification in Special Education.
I have been employed with Newton ISD since 2016. I am working at the elementary school as an inclusion teacher.
My first year of teaching I was at Newton High School. I was a Special Education/inclusion teacher. I also coached volleyball and basketball.
My second year of teaching I was at Newton Middle School. I taught career portals, character education, and reading intervention.
My third-year teaching at Newton ISD was on the High School campus as the English Inclusion Teacher.
My fourth-year teaching was middle school as a reading and science resource teacher and inclusion teacher.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Billy Messer for 9 years in October.
We have two boys, Sawyer born in January 2017, and Gavin born in November 2017.
We have 2 dogs and 1 cat.
I enjoy reading, anything outdoors, spending time with my family, and traveling. When I am not teaching I am taking care of my boys and living life to the fullest. I am also an independent Scentsy consultant and spend a lot of my free time working to make my business successful!.
