Hello!  My name is Shelly Williams and I live in Newton, Texas.  I have lived in Newton for almost my entire life!  I graduated from Newton High School in 1989.  (Go Eagles!)  I received my teaching degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.  (Ax'em Jacks!)  I am married to Jimmy Williams, Jr. and we have three beautiful daughters, a son-n-law, a beautiful granddaughter and a handsome grandson.  I am excited to be a dyslexia therapist at Newton ISD.  I completed my dyslexia training at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, TX in May of 2018.  I also have a master’s degree as a Reading Specialist at Stephen F. Austin State University.  I love my community and feel privileged to be able to teach the children of Newton County.   I have been teaching elementary school for 23 years.  I love to read and one of my goals is for my students to gain a love for reading.
