Welcome to Newton High School!

My name is Kay Jones, students call me Ms. Kay.  I am a 1975 graduate of NHS, I take great pride in my school, our  students and community. 

I have a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Home Economics with a Minor in Social Work.  This is my 30^th year of teaching at NHS, prior to teaching I worked for 10 years as a Child Protective Worker. 

I presently teach Principles of Hospitality, Intro to Culinary Arts and Advance Culinary Arts which includes a student run Restaurant-Eagles Landing.  I am also the Cheerleader Sponsor and drive a Bus Route.

I have one son/daughter in-law who have given me the best gift ever of being a grandmother of two beautiful girls Kambri and Kynslee.  Both girls love cheering for the Newton Eagles, the tradition continues!  Cheers!
